So my posts got lost in the merge of the two threads a while back, so i am reposting for all to see.

The first set of pictures are Plasti-Dip smoke. 5 coats. Tail-lights, reverse lights, 3rd brake light, and the reflectors. The 2nd picture is before/after side by side.

The next pic is of the ford logo, with 5 coats of plasti-dip smoke. It Made the logo not chrome anymore, and it made it body color :)

Lastly, the chrome inserts on the grille.

Its amazing how something as simple as a spray can of plastidip can truly make a cool difference.

These arent my focus, but Ford products none the less. I aim to kill all chrome on all of my vehicles :) Enjoy. F-150 and Boss302. I also have pics of work done on my Chrysler 300s, if anyone wants to see those :)

F-150

The black is plasti-dip, the blue is the OEM color :) Skills!

Boss302, The ring that says Ford was Chrome

Did you just peel the badge off and paint the chrome part black then replaced the badge? For the blue and black badge.

I like what you did with the Ford emblem in particular. I can imagine all the tape work was a pain in the ass though.

So i dont know about the older F-150's, but the 13's, the badges are layered pieces. Each section of the badge has its own "ridges" and/or lines. I actually painted the whole thing black, then i peeled back only the blue parts. I was trying to get the blue in the oval as well, but since that is such a smaller surface, i was unable to peel that section back without peeling the plasti-dip that was covering the chrome. I am actually going to redo it in white, so it will be blue and white.

Got bored this past weekend and i decided to plasti-dip the roof black. It didnt lay flat as well as i would have liked, but it still looks amazing. It was super windy, near trees and it was cool out. If i did this well, imagine if i had a garage. This took about 1.5 cans. Yes CANS. No tiger stripes ftw! Oh, and that is my truck in the backround on the first pic :)
