fyi a few pages back people were complaining about tire shine taking plastidip off rims almost instantaneously. Seems like a harmless way to me to get the dip off if you wanted

I'm doing my wheels today and noticed the spray comes out in a splatter instead of a spray like paint. Is this normal for plastidip? I have the new tip. Multiple cans are doing the same thing.

How cold are the cans? and did you shake for atleast 2 minutes? Mine came out splaterry and then I ran hot water over them for a little and shook the hell out of the can and it came out in a nice even mist.

The cans weren't cold. I let them sit in the sun today before spraying. 65 degrees or so. I shook them about 2 minutes as well. I'm still spraying so ill try heating up the next can to see if there is a difference.

It won't stay like that. It's alot heavier than paint, so it'll come out thicker. It will kind of flatten out and be smooth. I had the same reaction when I did my first set of wheels. Keep the spray tip really clean too. Every time you put it down, clean before spraying again. It will start to dry around the spray hole and affect the pattern.
