I agree, especially with winter coming might as well keep them dipped to protect from road salt. Then tackle removing it in the spring if you choose to

I agree, I used stripper on powder coat a few weeks ago... it did its job well and got down to bare metal. If there is any coating on the wheel, it will come off with the plasti-dip for sure. So unless you want to refinish your wheels, id try something less abrasive.

Here is what plasti-dip's site recommends:
http://www.plastidip.com/blog/2012/0...-removal-tips/

The top two are using Goo Gone and Plasti-dip itself lol. They say the reason it doesnt come off well is it was applied too thin. It sticks to itself best, so a thicker coat of plasti-dip will peel off easier

well maybe when i put another layer of dip on top, it will bond with the original dip and paint, making it easier to peel off.

Id say go for it, wouldn't hurt to try. If anything you'll just end up back where you started.

well i dipped over the existing paint. basically the finish on the wheels are crap. at least they're not anything rare like svt wheels or aftermarket, so i'm not terribly disappointed.

Picked up a can of Plastidip yesterday, had a chance to play around with it. Did my rear bumper, gas cover, and rear emblem. I think it turned out pretty good!
