You know, you sprayed it too thin. Try tireshine, I bet it will eat it right up

Dip would work great for the cowl or you could paint it. Same with the b-pillars. Btw, the roof on my Kona has been dipped over a year with no problems. And I am about to do my interior panels with 3-4 heavy coats of dip.
Forever black is a dye. As long as you apply enough coats say 4-5 over a day it is permanent. I did the skirts behind the rear wheel on my old Volvo and they held up through a winter of salt and snow with no fading.

I would never try plastidip on a wiper cowl. Could you imagine trying to peel that off from all the little nooks and crannies? No thanks.

I detailed my mom's Volvo using Forever Black in all the trim and it looks spectacular...2 months later, still looking excellent.

I did my hood scoop and made a stripe. I doubled up the tape and kept removing the top layer to prevent peeling when it dried. It still caught the edges when I removed the layer underneath. I had a roll of pinstriping, so I applied that on the edges to prevent anymore damage. I had it looking good, then for whatever reason the last coat looks a little crappy. If it looks okay this morning, I'll leave it as is. If not, I may spray some satin or matte black over the dip to match the front lip. The car is 11 years old, so any imperfections really don't bother me that much. Well, they do a little bit.

Looks okay, but, the stripe would look 100 times better the same exact width of the scoop.

I had it taped off like that at first. It just didn't look good. The stripe was way too wide. I tried all different patterns. The full width stripe looks great on a Mustang with the Roush scoop. Our hoods are too narrow. I had it tapered towards the grill too, that didn't flow either.
