In the middle of dipping the whiskers. 1st coat on. Waiting to do the 2nd.

Sloppy masking is sloppy.

Hey guys just wondering how the plasti dip holds in the long run like driving country roads and having bugs hit it and winter weather? I'm contemplating plasti dipping the chrome on my grille or just buying a ses grille if it'll end up looking better in the long run.

If it gets chipped or pitted, just peel and reapply? Certainly cheaper than buying a replacement trim piece.

But how often do people find themselves having to re apply the plasti dip?

I imagine that largely depends on your climate, how much highway driving you do, if you live in a dusty area, whether or not you garage vs. outdoor parking, etc.

I drive about 15 minutes there and back on the high every week day and back roads to get to my camp every other weekend which is a hour drive. I've been watching a few videos and it really seems like it's the smarter option cause of how in expensive it is.

My grille and wheels are dipped and have been for more than 6 months now. Not one chip at all, and I park outside and do a lot of dirt road backwoods mountain driving. The stuff is not going to come off unless you want it to.

Yea doesn't look so hot. I'm assuming having it professionally vinyled is a better idea?
