id put my money on the pzev beating you. do you have tc?? catback and an intake with some subs in the trunk doesnt do a whole lot for the SVT. he may be putting more power to the wheels, definately more torque, and with a better 1/4 mi tranny.

Everyone wants to be like an SVT. A 2.3 runs the 1/4 in 16.03@87.1 mph (info from new focus fanatics mag) and the SVT can hit 1/4 mile in 15.3 bone stock (some have gotten lower). Were talking a full second diffrence (almost) yet everyone and there grandma throws on a exahust and an intake and they think they can take an SVT. Show me some time slips of you getting 15.3 or lower in the 1/4 mile and then I guess I'd have to say your right, untill then keep dreaming. I get sick of hearing about people thinking they can beat every SVT on the road.

I hate to break it to you but there a A LOT of cars including non-svt foci's that can beat your car there buddy.

Oh and on the type r thing your gonna lose. He has more power and LSD and better gearing. If you had a 50 shot you would take him easily but I dont think youll win as is.

Egz pulled off a 15.4 with just intake i believe. But thats besides the point. If the type R guy is a "faster" learner on his car, then he will beat you.

First of all I don't race mine so me hitting a 15.3 would not happen. Maybe with practice but not any time soon. If someone runs a stock SVT at 15.3 in the 1/4 why would the same driver not be able to run another stock SVT the same time? I know there may be slight diffrences in the individual specs of the car's due to variances but the same driver should get close to the same time in diffrent cars that are the same make and model (SVT in this case).

Second of all "there a A LOT of cars including non-svt foci's that can beat your car there buddy." I'm not your buddy. I never said there was not but I am saying that any SVT with none to slight mods done to them are faster than 80% of the non SVT's you are talking about. Plain and simple the only focus's to give the SVT a run is the 2.3 (151hp and 154lbs torq.). The non svt 2.0 is 130hp and 135lbs torq, your talking about some major ass modes on a 2.0 to match the 170hp and 145lbs of torq. of the SVT. Then everyone wants to start saying "Well if you mod the hell out of a non svt it would beat a stock SVT". If you mod the SVT dollar for dollar with what you spend on modding the non SVT you would never catch it. Plus if you ever matched the speed of the SVT then you would have to work on the handling, then the braking, etc..

Oh lord, looks like someone has the same cocky ass attitute as the [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]es who think their honda is the greatest creation since sliced bread. Dude, get off of your high horse and realize that you're making yourself sound like an ass. People like you don't belong on this forum.

Ok so there is a hp-tq difference... you forgot to mention the weight differential!!!??

Too bad some of the SVT owners are feeling slighted... get over it
