Should a Focus Wagon be sold in US?

I love the hatch, but if there had been a wagon available there wouldn't have even been a choice - wagon in a heartbeat. A co-worker has a VW Jetta wagon and when next to my Focus it is basically the same size, but that little extra wagon length has so much more storage space.

Broadly, I don't think station wagons are liked here in the USA. I'd suppose somebody needing the space would get a cross-over or a mini-van instead.

I have to say the Magnum does look great:)

Other then the front end and that interior, the Magnum wasn't bad looking but unfortunatly it could be used as an example of how America views wagons in general. Meaning SLOW seller and discontinued after trying to make it for 4 years. If Ford looks at it's numbers, we have no chance of Ford bringing the wagon here.

I was actually considering a certified preowned Volvo V50 before I decided on the Focus hatchback. There are people who are looking for that sort of vehicle.

It was a slow seller because after the 1st year, Dodge didn't advertise hardly, if at all for some reason. I remember seeing commercials on TV for the Magnum like in 2005, then after that I don't remember seeing any commercials. I think Dodge only had the one commercial. Quite a few people came up to me when I was parked and asked what it was. They never heard of it. How can a company sell a product if they stop advertising it?

I think many potential wagon owners are looking for front wheel drive, as rear wheels might be scary to many these days (my wife + snow + rear wheel drive = accident) Plus, the stigma will take a looong time to go from laughs to love...but hey the SOS (DMV) considered our mountaineer a wagon...Dodge even has a "power wagon" Ram, so the term spans many designs I guess...just weird that so many laugh at the term...I guess old Clark gave it quite a bad name!

Performance wagons can be had in any flavor, take mine for example:
Volvo V50 T5
and the Focus ST
just to name a few.

Many people probably also didn't know that you could get the Magnum, Charger and 300 with all wheel drive right from the first year of production, and still can (except the Magnum of course). Something Chrysler NEVER advertised in thier commercials for any of them that I know of. Certainly not for the Magnum. How dumb is that?
