Question General Question, SE, get RPM gauge?

Hey guys, im not a mechanic or anything but ive been doing a few mods to my car, intake, exhaust system, tints, hid and so on, but i was thinking about going into the interior now and i was looking at this really nice looking dash i was curious about if i am going to have trouble or anything if i was to swap the dash and get that rpm gauge would it be difficult to get it to work or anything like that?
Any and all information will be greatly appreciated, i love to learn anything i can, just hard to find the answers.
