Just saw this ... sorry to hear.

Glad no one got hurt.

And good to see you got a car that you were happy with.

Why not a 4 door? Does your child fit comfortable in the back of a 2 door?

I'd narrowed it down to this one and a 4 door. Same year, almost same mileage, same options, both certified preowned with similar factory warranty leftover on top of the CPO warranty.

The dealer with the 4 door had his a grand more than this one and wouldn't budge. The doors are pretty big and the seats slide up pretty far. And he's in a booster seat now and can climb in on his own and is almost able to work the seatbelt himself.

Until then, there's plenty of room for my wife to just stand in the back while she buckles him in. My arms are long enough to do it from outside.

I'd have preferred the 4 door, but not for a grand more.

I got almost 7700, which was quite a bit more than I was anticipating. That was apparently inflated slightly by the fact that 2 days prior, I'd put brand new tires on. The adjuster said that would be counted in some capacity, though I don't think I got full replacement value for them.

I was expecting 5kish (I think that's the low end of what KBB said to expect from private sale). I was hoping I might get a bit over 6k, which is what I was able to find them selling for online with comparable mileage (105k). So the 7700 was quite a surprise to me.

That's funny, one of the super speeders DVDs all the guys are standing around talking just after one of the 430s caught fire. The head guy said for now on I'm gonna put in case of fire marshmallows in glove compartment.
