Veryyyy knowledgeable and put a smile on my face. He said he was going to check the alignment afterwards "because that's just what they should do", and so he double checks his work/the toe of the front wheels etc to make sure the new setup isn't off at all; So there wouldn't be any irregular tire wear.

I would ask to ensure that the alignment check is performed and verified. It will show up on your paperwork if completed.
Shout-out to all the happy campers out there, including Yellow06saleen! Please check with your dealers to see if an alignment is required or recommended.

Hey everyone -

I have my fingers crossed for all of you! Please let me know when the repairs are finished. I'm starting a clunk-free chant; feel free to follow. CLUNK-FREE, CLUNK-FREE, CLUNK-FREE...

Uptcv1, your dealer will talk to you about loaner availability.

If you haven't spoken to your CSM about this, please PM me your VIN, mileage, contact info, and dealer city/state; I'll make it happen!

Thomas

Thomas,

For those of us forced to do the repair on our own, is there any way you could put the proper repair procedure in our hands, complete with torque specs?

Please let me know.

In case anyone is wanting to experiment, the ford parts catalouge has the part number for the ST level strut bearing assemblies CV6Z-18183-B or motorcraft AD-1098. Perhaps these will be slightly higher quality pieces.

Well, I'm at the dealership again to see if they will apply this TSB. I left glowing feedback with Thomas about how well they had treated me up until that point, so hopefully they actually get it taken care of this time...

THANK YOU!

Now I actually have an incentive to get this done; I've been waiting for those parts to come out.

You da man.

you're welcome man. Let us know if it does any good, looking at the list prices of the two the ST level part isn't terribly much more ($11 vs $16)

The ST rear bumper cover I've already checked on is a mere $489. wow

ST rear spoiler : $1074. OUCH
