Veryyyy knowledgeable and put a smile on my face. He said he was going to check the alignment afterwards "because that's just what they should do", and so he double checks his work/the toe of the front wheels etc to make sure the new setup isn't off at all; So there wouldn't be any irregular tire wear.

Theoretically, based on the components removed/replaced, an alignment shouldn't be required. That being said, there is a charge code on the TSB for them to check and verify that nothing (alignment-wise) has changed.

I would ask to ensure that the alignment check is performed and verified. It will show up on your paperwork if completed.

Just got a call back and they ordered a spring and bearing for the driver side but they are on BO. That's the only place that I heard the noise coming from so hopefully the passenger side is fine...for now.

I posted the TSB a few pages back.

Got my car back today...it took them half the day instead of the full day. I just took it for a 45 min spin...and wowsa...its finally quiet!!! My car was clunking from the first day I bought it new...so this is a nice change. Here's to hoping this is a permanent fix.

In case anyone is wanting to experiment, the ford parts catalouge has the part number for the ST level strut bearing assemblies CV6Z-18183-B or motorcraft AD-1098. Perhaps these will be slightly higher quality pieces.

Well, I'm at the dealership again to see if they will apply this TSB. I left glowing feedback with Thomas about how well they had treated me up until that point, so hopefully they actually get it taken care of this time...

you're welcome man. Let us know if it does any good, looking at the list prices of the two the ST level part isn't terribly much more ($11 vs $16)

The ST rear bumper cover I've already checked on is a mere $489. wow

ST rear spoiler : $1074. OUCH
