So far with a few hundred miles ours is still good. I had to fix a leak in the RIGHT front tire so I snapped a few pics of the new strut and the coil spring. They are definately new and the part numbers matched the ones I took last summer. Not that I don't trust them, but I don't trust any dealer.

I just took mine in today for the lovely clunking sound. Only a hour later I got a call from the Service Manager. I was expecting the "it's a normal sound for your car" speech". He actually said there is a service bulletin out on this issue and that there are updated parts from Ford for this fix. He said might take up to a week to get the parts.....let's just hope they are indeed the fix.

Could this issue also cause a rumbling feeling to occur while driving at high speeds (70mph)?

How many miles are on your car and have you rotated your tires? Since your profile says you own a Titanium, I'd attribute a rumbling at 70 MPH more to the PS3 tires on your car.

As with many on here it happens at speeds below 25mph. My sweet spot for the noise happens at 15mph over speed humps and the odd cracks in the road. I can't speak for everyone, but the whole majority with the issue we are all dealing with is at very low speeds!

I don't experience any "rumbling". But, if you have never had or experienced bigger tires before per say, that is what you could be hearing, though doubtful.

I'm at 20k miles (purchased 5/2011)...I have my tires rotated every 5k. I guess it could be the tire size...maybe that combined with uneven pavement?

Called the dealer to find out what the tech said about the noise. They are ordering parts as per the TSB. Could take a few days. Nobody local has these parts is what I was told. So I guess they ll come from some distribution center? I will keep you posted how things go.

Interesting! Mine has the same tag and it's making the noise.
