My service advisor just called and my car won't be ready today. They got all the parts, but they just can't get it put back together and re-align front end and test drive today. Hopefully tomorrow.

Yeah, soon you will be joining me as yet another member here with a successful fix on this issue!. I just know it!. The absence of that clanking racket goes a long way towards appreciating and enjoying your car even more!.

Hey everyone!

I know it’s been a few days since we’ve been in this thread, but Thomas and I are here to help. If you’re feeling a noise from the struts, please send a private message with your VIN, phone #, mileage, and dealer info. We’ll set you up with a regional Customer Service Manager who can work with your dealer on diagnosis and help to resolve it. It may take us a few days to get to everyone’s PM, but we will reply. Thanks!

~Natasha

Hi Natasha,
I am glad you are here to help, but I am afraid that the answer from your counterparts at regional will be that they are aware of the problem but there is nothing they can do at this time/no revised parts and thank you for letting them know and documenting it. This was Linda that I spoke with and my case number is --

If that’s the case, slowmazda3, it’s definitely beneficial to have it documented for future reference. Please keep in mind though, while some vehicles may have similar symptoms, the causes could be different. We work to proactively identify areas of concern through investigation of consumer and dealer feedback, so you all are a fantastic resource. I do recommend editing out the case number above, as that's a bit of personal info. :)

My SEL Sedan is in for a number of issues, including the replacement of the rigt front coil spring that will, apparently, solve the clanking front end noise.. I hope I will get my car back this week as it's been in the shop for a full week now.

I'll keep you guys posted

My car is still at the dealership for the clunking. The service advisor said they had to order a part/parts and hopefully it'll be ready tomorrow. We'll see what happens.

Got my car back yesterday and they replaced both sway bar links in the front and it DID NOT fix the noise issue.

Did you take it home or leave it with them?

I took it, I didn't have time to drive it over bumps to see if it was fixed right away. This car has already inconvenienced me multiple times. If it wasn't for me losing 1000's it would have been sold already.
