I just started noticing a similar rattle in my car - Ti with about 5,000 miles now. Very faint but noticeable sound when driving slow (<5 MPH) and turning. Coming from somewhere in the front end, sounds like suspension.
Guess I'll have to add it to the list for when I take it in for 12B37... Quote:

Took mine in for the same low speed noise, they told me nothing was wrong. Then I made them take a test drive with me. The mechanic admitted that they only pushed up and down on the car..... They acknowledged a noise after driving with me. They are throwing a sway bar link at it. We will see if this fixes the problem.

Just got call from my service advisor. They put the chassis ears on and then called the Ford hotline with their observations. They were told to replace strut bearings (both sides) as well as some springs on both sides.
Also did the CSP 12B37 reprogramming. They had to order parts, and will hopefully have it fixed tomorrow they said. I'll report on how it goes after I pick it up. |

Add me to the growing list of clunkers. The noise on mine seems to emanate from the left hand side.
It's a slight rattling sound when driving in a straight line on roads with bad expansion joints or when you drive over man hole covers that are slightly lower than the road surface. The sound changes to a rather loud clunk when making a right hand turn up an incline. Sounds like the strut is ready to fall off. I suspect a broken spring. It goes in tomorrow for this, CSP 12B37 and the first oil change.

I would like for it to be springs considering that my Eibach Pro's arrived today.
I'm not getting my hopes up. |

It appears that many people get that from their service dept. When I first brought mine in, they replaced the left everything. Even though the noise wasn't completely gone, it was very much improved. I just didn't want my car to have to keep going back to service, so I figured I would just begin to move in the aftermarket parts.
Stay on them. |

I believe it's the strut bearings.
