Update: just got a call from the service guy. Said working on transmission guy thinks maybe it's just how the transmission is supposed to sound... (What's new)... But he will need the car for another day or two to do more tests. Will be getting a rental car and waiting some more... Hope it's not the same bs it's supposed to rattle and clunk while driving spiel. Annoyed!

Sorry Crystal, even when I dealt with Ford Corporate NOTHING got done, was told by 2 dealerships that it was "a normal noise associated with the car" and Ford Corporate said "Sorry, we can't help you"....

I agree, I tried to get my car even bought back and just get a fusion... And no go. Was willing to stick with ford, but I'm sad to say back to honda after this experience...

I'm getting to that point too! I love the car minus the noises (they most recently told me my passenger side was 'normal') ... The killer part is they DID a TSB to the driver side for the same thing. Now I just wonder if they're refusing to do it, but passing it off as normal.

Sorry Crystal, but you/Ford do not help.. I've also dealt with corporate, multiple dealers, and also test drove other brand new '12 and '13 foci they all clung and vibrate on the road... Also got in writing from Ford 'car designed to operate this way normal operation'

Basically translated, "If you don't like it, lump it!" Which IMO is very unfortunate. A lot of us know what it should sound like. Ford has lost a lot of drivers on this forum to other cars/brands because of it. And, that includes myself. I have other reasons too, not just solely this, but this is a constant reminder in my head when drive, "Where can I hear it now, and over what bumps?"

My new car won't have this issue. I don't have it yet (will in a month), but test drove a couple different ones to make sure no front end noise like this.

My 2012 is going back in to the shop for the front suspension clunk. 1st time I brought it in I took a tech for a drive and he said "sounds normal to me. that's just how these cars sound" so obviously they didn't fix it. At that time it was just doing it on the drivers side now it's doing it on both sides. Should be interesting to hear what it is this time.

Make sure you tell them the TSB number and the fact that it was issued specifically because of the problem-not because the car is supposed to sound like that. If they do the TSB, ask them to lube your bump-stops during the process.
