I don't know how I feel about that yet. For one, many people have had the clutches replaced and it did correct the issue. But maybe it's not actually a permanent fix? In which case, I'll need to wait even longer to get my clutch fixed.

Ok dispite the thread hijacking, the TSB that was just issued is for one side of the suspension only...! Either passenger or driver side, atleast in canad.a

The Focus went into the shop yesterday, supposed to get it back tomorrow. I'll post the parts list when I get the invoice.

Just out of curiosity, does your dealer always keep the car overnight? With the TSB's (including the strut TSB) I've had applied, I've never had to leave my car overnight. Again, just a question out of curiosity.

Not every time but they usually do, mainly because I can only bring in the vehicle after work.

One time it was in the shop 22 consecutive days though.

Had a chance to drive an early 2012 Focus SE rental vehicle this week; couldn't pass it up. Want to hear something funny? It made the exact same noises that I had been hearing in my car, BUT ON BOTH SIDES, and under all the usual driving conditions. What a hoot! The car had about 25, 26 thousand miles on it. Much louder and much more frequent than on my car but I attribute that to the quieter Ti construction and the lower overall mileage. I also experienced many of the same transmission noises & shifting quirks many folks have complained about; rolling marbles in a can sounds, clacks and kicks, you name it. I also noticed general front-end bushing noises I've heard generally on lots of cars. But the bump-stop rattle was clear as day, directional and distinctive.

By the way, my car is still dead-silent after doing the Dysan Method!

I experienced the same thing with a 2013 SE I had as a rental in San Francisco. The tranny was a bit smoother though, but the clunks were definitely apparent.

Basically the same as TSB 12-6-17 except for the fix being recommended now is just the affected bearing, top nut and knuckle bolt to fix it. However the springs/ struts are also still listed as a claimable warranty item under the TSB for labor actions.
