Mine is back in again for the return of the clunking after the TSB application. They gave me a free rental car and said they're going to work on it until it's fixed. Totally agreed with me that a car should not clunk or creak or whatever over bumps in the road. They seemed VERY interested in working with Ford to resolve this issue. Should get the car back later today and will report what they say. My service department is great and I know most of the guys by name.

We'll see.

I bet they can't fix it. Not without changing to an aftermarket part of some sort.
I'm just waiting right now for someone to contact me from ford when they have it figured out. I will call them in about two moe months just to check in, and keep watching this forum of course

CORRECT !!!

The word is that the procedure used was to first verify that the TSB was correctly applied the first time. It was. Next ... reinstall the chassis ears and verify that the sound has returned from the same area (strut bearings) ... it has. Final current disposition (from Ford) is that Ford is working on the problem and nothing else is to be done to the car "at this point" (understandable). My advisor did say that they WILL resolve this, and no matter the mileage ... it WILL be applied to my car.

I guess I have to be OK with that. What other choice is there ?

Now they are working on a wind noise at the driver side door and a rattle in the passenger side rear area. They're keeping the car another day, which is fine since I have a loaner car for free from them, even though it's a piece of crap GM HHR.

It's amazing how much a dealer can calm things down by just being helpful and not condescending/uninterested. Kudos to your dealer. Mine has been pretty helpful too, or at least they don't look at me funny when I come in with these problems (Strut TSB, Taillight taking of paint, etc...).

Yeah, my service guys know I'm VERY aware of my car and if I say something's wrong then there is.

I always make them go with me to prove the issue. I don't ever want to hear ... we couldn't replicate.

It's nice to have a great dealer who works with you and trusts you.

Hey folks!

Just a reminder that I'm here to help. Reach out to me via PM with some background on what you've been experiencing, your VIN, dealer, mileage, and daytime contact number; I'll get to work!

Thanks!
Crystal
