I would go ahead and do it, sounds great and its a cheap mod the looks and sounds good.

What would removing this do to your warranty?

Just voids the warranty covering the exhaust itself, doesn't effect the power train warranty at all

Gah! My mechanic wants $140 JUST to cut it off and weld a pipe! Looks like unless I can pay a neighbor a little to do it I'm stuck. That and I'll need to find a neighbor with welding experience.
