It's certainly louder and I kind of miss the quiet "stealth" sound

You could always get a transverse muffler to replace the one that was removed, just get a single in and out. And them just run a new tip from that muffler

I know that the Ford Edge has the dual outlets but one on either side for a dual outlet "look". Make sense?

Since I purchased the car on 23 Dec, I have spent a total of $281 on four exhaust tips, lunch box mod plus labor and a new muffler. You're probably wondering; why?!!! Ok, here we go...I put on three different tips at $20 each until I discovered the lunch box mod and decided to purchase a black chrome exhaust tip in conjunction with the mod. Tip was $55.90 with shipping and the shop charged $40 for the mod. I did this on Wednesday and after roughly two days I couldn't take the noise and decided to go back to a quiet muffler. Cost: $125.60. Yes, I wasted alot of money just to do a complete 360. At least I have my health.

Tip after lunch box mod

I had the lunch box mod done this past weekend and I'm loving the sound. It's a nice, deep tone without being too loud, perfect for me until I really start modding the car and put a full CBE on. And taking that stupid muffler right under the bumper out really cleans up the back of the car.
