For just the seat bottoms, it's two bolts per seat. Not sure if non 60/40 seats are different.

I've since removed the seat backs and basically gutted the hatch area. Will be building a new floor soon.

Interesting, thanks for sharing this.

Would be really handy for those using their Focus to haul or deliver stuff a lot! I've started seeing quite a few places around here using Focus's as parts haulers and it makes me wonder whether they've done something like this.

I am looking at replacing my rear seats as I don't like the tan colour, it stains too easily. What is the process for removing the seat backs.

There are three brackets holding the two individual seat backs (although I guess only two if your car has a single rear seat back). There are clips on either side of each back going into a bracket. I can't remember exactly what the motion is, but you turn or push or pull a little knob to open up the clip and it slides right out of the bracket. That then exposes the bracket bolts, if you want to remove the brackets as well.

I have pulled the rear seats out of my car when I was cleaning it. I think you have to remove the trim along the bottom and back of the rear doors, and than use a large flat headed screwdriver to pop the seat clips on the outsides of the seats. If you need a hand, and I'm around, I'd be willing to help.

Are you doing like a large sub build? I calculated you can get around 4 15"s ported under window line so if you compete you'll be in the superstock class

OK, I guess I was mistaken. It was a while ago that I did this, and I pulled the trim out of the entire hatch... OCD Much
