Yeah, its basically the same starting procedure as the push button start without requiring you to keep your foot on the brake at the same time.

Turn to start release the key to run and it will crank itself over automatically.

This is an amazing thread that should be a sticky. I will say that I chuckled about quite a few "secrets" that are actually mentioned in the owner's manual. But there are a number that are genuine Easter eggs. My favorite is the card holder in the dummy switch below the hvac (where the parking assist switch is on those so-equipped). I was looking for a convenient place for my office parking garage pass, and this is perfect.

I'll add one that is in the manual for those that haven't read it. One press on the moonroof button opens it automatically, but only to about 7/8 open (to minimize buffeting). Another press will open it fully.

With the car off and keys out of the ignition. I accidentally pressed the Power button (Volume Knob) and the radio came on. Pressed it again and it goes back off. Pretty neat little feature. Especially if you sit in the car (with the car off) and the radio goes off automatically.

i've tested trying to lock the keys in the car by touching the black spot on the door. wouldn't lock. haven't tried with the second fob, but it would be hard to lock yourself out if you already had the 2nd fob in your hand.
What black spot?

As for the people that always talk about places to put their phones...where do you keep it when you're outside of your car? I'd assume your pocket. Now: Why do you take it *out* of your pocket? As far as phone calls go the MyFord Touch system handles them all perfectly. For anything else, you shouldn't be doing it while driving anyway. If I rode in your car when you started doing something with your phone I'd throw it out the window and possibly smack you across your face.
I take it out because its uncomfortable.

It's by the light switch...

Superlifted06FX4, there is no such switch on the 2012 models, and your 2013 model did get an interior release installed in place of the fog lamp switch.

I.e. 2012 models do not have an interior release handle, but everything above the SE had fog lamps, where as only the 201A+ 2013 models have fog lamps but the base SE has an interior trunk release now. Not exactly a fair trade I'd say.

I have both fogs and trunk release. I didn't know that much changed between years, lol.
