I don't know if this feature has been mentioned earlier but just found this out today on my way home from work. If you adjust the center dash vents towards the floor, air is also directed out of the hidden vents above the HVAC controls. I'm still trying to figure out why Ford did it this way.

Anyone notice that your car races into the display between the gauges at start up? I think that's pretty cool.

I'm pretty sure those hidden vents are intakes for sensing the internal cabin temperature on cars with automatic climate control. There will be a real small fan that pulls air in slowly from the cabin and measures the temperature. This is a pretty typical location that has been used on Audis for years. It doesn't exist on SE models.

That being said, its accidental and probably going to confuse the system to have air coming back out of these. But I could be wrong, and would be delighted if someone knows the truth.

That's what the panic button on the remote is for.

There is a "car finder" feature of your remote entry system. You don't have to use the panic button.

Just press the lock button a couple of times. If you're anywhere near your car, the horn will honk.

The only thing I have noticed is that you have to tell ford about being on coilovers before you make an appointment for the steering rack fix. They looked so clueless trying to put my car on a rack. I had to help them.

I didn't read the whole thread but has anyone noticed you don't have to hold the key in the start position while starting. Just bump the key and let it go. It will crank by itself until it starts.
