Funny you bring up bikes, they didn't go full auto because well, its a bike. Quite a lot of weight to saddle a bike with. And because sequential manual transmission that can shift themselves a la BMWs SMG or Audis R Tronic sucked quite nicely for daily driving. Excellent at speed, but they were more horrific for going around town.

My 2013 ST has hill assist.... When you are stopped on a hill, when you take off again, the car doesn't roll back at all when you take your foot off the brake.

I know the Euro cars have this feature, but not sure on the rest of the standard focus models.

Premium gasoline will help with performance, but not necessarily fuel economy even in the base Focus 2.0L GDI with Ti-VCT because of the high compression ratio and up to a certain limit being able to advance the timing and take advantage of the more volatile fuel. It won't necessarily give better mileage. But its a simple test that might cost $7.5 over 3 full tanks of gas at a price difference of $0.2/gallon and a 12.4 gallon tank.

Use the search feature, if the thread isn't on the front page already, and find the one that talks about using Premium gas.

It's been proven by dozens that these engines handle premium fuel better, have smoother power delivery and man have actually seen MPG increases; mpg increases that may or may not be beneficial depending on how much premium fuel costs where you live.

Calling us monkeys and useless isn't winning you any favor with anyone here.
