.
The feature filler plate (aka delete plate) on my SEL dash is made to hold credit card sized cards.

Just throw them on your seat, it wont let you lock the keys in the car.

It holds my military ID perfectly, and I have to show it every time I go through a gate (10x per day). I'd rather have the card holder than whatever switches/options go there on higher end models.

I miss the days when the military window sticker was all you needed.

I have learned that whenever something unexpected happens, to post it immediately, before seeking any further info or possible cause, bitch about how terrible this makes the car, and proceed to go on about how amazing all other new cars are in comparison, inciting 5 pages of heated flamery.

I may have been guilty of some of this this myself, and I guess the excitement of a new car makes it very tought to accept issues or differences with the the Focus opposed to another car!

Got to say, I love this feature too. Never have to go looking for my card to get into my work's parking lot. First time I tried putting a card in it, I thought I found an alternate use for an air vent. I held on to the end of that card for dear life.

That is where the park assist buttons are on my Titanium.
