I was screwing around and told my car to "play something else" and it randomly chose a song... apparently that is a command :)

That's what I was going to say. On MFT the center button on the right side is an "M" button that changes the source. It's actually pretty annoying...why on Earth would I want to rotate through the 10 sources on a regular basis? I have my top shortcut button mapped to Play/Pause, but I don't ever use it because using it also switches back to the Home screen. *WHY* on Earth would hitting Pause mean I want to go to the home screen?

Some of the design flaws make absolutely no sense.

No, because then you have to manually turn them off when you leave the car - and then back on when you drive again... etc. The whole point of auto headlights is that you never have to think about it the lights are on when you are driving and off when you are not. The electric tape (or static cling black vinyl) over the sensor is a great idea, that will achieve the goal. However it should be an option for those of us who prefer this setting!

I totally agree. I'm glad to see this being discussed.

I drove a VW Passat regularly for business a few years back and loved the auto headlight feature. But get this, the auto headlights didn't light the tail lights. You had to remember to turn on the headlight switch at night or you'd be driving with headlights and no tail lights. That was stupid!

^Yes! That drives me insane. My father's 2003 Outback is that way and he always forgets to switch from DRLs to headlights when it gets dark out and is always driving around with no tail lights!

I think if the wipers go on in the day the lights go on automatically. I read that .. but have not noticed it yet. There was an option in the center screen to set it.
