EDIT: I'm not actually going to put a PS3 in my car... until we can figure out how to override MFT and play while driving.
A company called Coastal E Tech - http://www.coastaletech.com/synclockpick.htmLock Pick - makes a product called Lock Pick that unlocks all the locked out features of the MFT, like DVDs can only be viewed in Park. Unfortunately, they do not yet have a product for the Focus - maybe in the future, they tell me. They have an install video on YouTube and it is very simple.

It actually works quite well, but it took me a few tries to master.

1. Stand with your knees about 6-8" from the bumper.
2. Put your fingers inside the handle (do NOT use your thumb).
3. As quickly as you can, whip your hand straight down.

About 2/3 of the way down your hand naturally slides right out of the handle (if you didn't use your thumb), and it closes with a satisfying "thunk".
That's what I do most of the time.

Interaction Mode Advanced...

Voice commanding doesn't have the feedback anymore leading to more instant gratification from your commands. There's no menu setting for this on us non-MFT ers, at least I haven't seen yet.
Thanks for posting this up!!!
Does this get rid of the 'sync! please say a command...' prompt? This has been getting annoying lately and i've just been pulling the command prompt button twice to move mrs. sync lady along quicker.

I have the dct and I am an Eco Champion with all the green leaves lit up, and a nice little trophy pops up on the screen

This is something I did to my Infiniti in 06 which locked me out of nav features and subsequently video on front screen. I don't know how the Focus decides you are in motion and when video can play however in the Infiniti, took out the dvd nav system, spliced the wire and ran to an active toggle switch so can just flip switch in cup holder and use all functions as if in park with the parking break on. Of course this makes the nav system loose track for where you are for the period when you have the bypass active. I would check to see if this product quoted above has the same quirk.

I don't think its that simple. I'm pretty sure if you're stopped with your foot on the brake and in drive it will not lock you out of anything. I believe Sync/MFT is networked with all the other control modules in the car.

Titanium actually has a key inside the remote, just in the event that the remote runs out of battery, the key only opens doors tho.

It can be pretty simple - check out the video for an install of Lock Pick in an Edge. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3BAK..._order&list=UL

Or it could be this:

ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

It actually does... interactions are more like this now:

(Pull Voice Tab)
USB (beep)
"Play Artist Billy Joel"
(confirmation beep)
(song plays)

Unfortunately, it doesn't affect SYNC services commands, those are all preset.
