That's unsafe - if you are rear ended you will be pushed out into the intersection and could be broadsided by oncoming traffic - not to mention possibly into pedestrians crossing in front, etc.

Not sure if anyone's posted this yet, but if you nave Non-MFT Gen 1 Sync, you can definitely speed up the voice interactions by saying...

SYNC... (if you're not in the SYNC menu yet)
Voice Settings...
Interaction Mode Advanced...

Voice commanding doesn't have the feedback anymore leading to more instant gratification from your commands. There's no menu setting for this on us non-MFT ers, at least I haven't seen yet.

I have no idea if this has been posted before, but I saw in another thread that if you let your Focus go bone dry and run out of gas, in the odometer LCD at the bottom it will read "You should have filled up long ago moron!" It shows that ford has a sence of humor built right in. Lol[bootyshak

It actually works quite well, but it took me a few tries to master.

2. Put your fingers inside the handle (do NOT use your thumb).
3. As quickly as you can, whip your hand straight down.

About 2/3 of the way down your hand naturally slides right out of the handle (if you didn't use your thumb), and it closes with a satisfying "thunk".

I think you have to have all three icons in the ecomode - including the shifting. With an automatic, one only has two and thus, no trophy.

I just unloaded all the "treasures" I carried in my '03 Elantra's trunk box and tucked all the important stuff into the slots under the trunk's cover. I have a 1/4 inch socket set, a screwdriver set, an umbrella, a roll of shop towels, a can of hand cleaner, a roll of duct tape, a pair of winter gloves, a pair of leather work gloves, a roll of 30 gallon plastic trash bags, a large flashlight, two bungees, a 30' long ratchet strap, and a tarp to work on/from.

I was driving around with my wifes car last night. Went to go look at the ecomode stuff and the little popup came up congratulating her for being an eco champion. hers is an automatic.
