What neat tricks and tips have you've found since owning?

Found this out today, I call it my ghetto MTF

My Garmin nuvi fits right into my SYNC display...I use ipod bluetooth so i control my ipod on my ipod so i dont really need to see the display all the time

My Navigon wedges in there at an angle, so I can see both displays. I don't use it that often, and I dig keeping the windshield free of suction cup mounts.

wow. Ford cars used to have a charcoal canister.. i guess it is no longer required in case of overflow. (maybe with the price of gas, they figure folks are NOT gonna be wasting it so easily?)

Also, for some reason i have all three 'flowers' fully glowing in the separate screen, but the flowers in the main screen do not get bright? (Next to the 'low gas' idiot light, it never lights up.. makes me sad...) (I have a manual tranny)

playing video from an iPod is pretty simple, just need a specific cable (check owner's manual) that plugs into the iPod and has the standard Red, White, Yellow connections plus an USB connection to plug into the ports in the console.

In the Audio screen, there's a selection at the bottom 'Options' and there's a video selection there. It'll read the video files on the iPod and will play them ONLY if you're in Park.

So far I only have a music video on there, but I'm sure the same would work if I downloaded a TV show or movie from iTunes.

Haven't tried any other option other than from iPod.

I just discovered how to get the white interior LEDs not to come on when you unlock/open doors.

Open the door, and then hold the front-most map light button over the driver's head for about 5 seconds. The lights will blink for a quick instant, then not come on unless you turn them on.

I have to say, the car looks so much cooler when you open the door and it's just the footwell/door coloured LEDs and the two screens and gauges lit up. :D

If you let mac program it then nothing would work with it at all

When tailgating, how do you get the audio to play for an extended period of time? Having a Ti, I don't have a key to turn to ACC, so haven't figured out how to play music while stopped.
