More light is never useless, more light down the road allows you to see better...?

If someone having their fogs on is bothering your eyes from "glare", you might need to get them checked. Fogs don't throw light up and out. They throw them maybe 5-10 ft in front of the car and down.

The only time fogs have annoyed me is when someone has non-projector HIDS and HIDS in their fogs and it's just one huge wall of light.

Which happens alot, same as people driving with fog lights or driving lights on ALL THE TIME. I used to get mad at them... Now i just laugh at them for openly displaying their stupidity for the world to see... Its sort of like trying to see in fog with your highbeams AND fogs at the same time... You won't be able to, as the light produced by your high beams will defract in the fog, rendering the light from the fog lights useless. Anyways, end of rant.

TL;DR: Always-on fogs stupid, fog&highbeams bad/dangerous....

In the US you can not have your fogs and high beams on at the same time. (unless you go after market but it will not pass some state inspections)

Driving with lights on in sun is to help the others on the road see u not for ur own vision....around here with all the trees when ur driving in sun shade sun shade repeatedly it helps u see the other cars if they have lights on...we have a lot of distracted drivers around here n I want to do everything I can to avoid being hit by them...

Can we get back on topic in here? Complaining about fog lights doesn't tell me anything about what tips and tricks you've learned :P

Good point ... I started the current trend by asking if anyone knows a tip or trick to keep the fogs on when the auto lights come on ... lets move on from there.

Yeah, agreed, there wasn't a need for people to drag out that whole discussion. Basically, without modification I don't think there's any way to do so. You'd have to wire your fogs so that they are on the same circuit as the headlights, i.e. when the headlights are on the fogs are on.

Don't think there's any way to do that that wouldn't also keep the fogs on while the brights are on without some clever tricks.

An ST owner modified his Foglights to always come on with power, and to switch off with high beams. He bypassed his original switch and harnesses so his custom build relays and harness would be powering his fogs.

If you google search "ford focus constant fog" it should be the top link. He as pictures and a diagram of his relay setup.
