Lets try to get back to "tips and tricks". There are more than enough threads on what is wrong with our cars.

The only "trick and tip" type feature that I am surprised that the Focus is missing (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong), is the lack of a notch for the Line In cable in the center console. So if I want to have my MP3 player plugged into the Line In, I can't easily route the cable out of the center console without smashing the cable. Has anyone figured out a way around this, or am I missing something? I thought this was a common car feature so I don't understand why it isn't there. Same goes with the USB line.

A dremel and a small grinding stone could to it for you in about 10 seconds. Yes, better if Ford had thought of it for you, but . . .

I have it in my other Ford and Mercury. What I did is I took two little felt feat (those round things) and stuck them on near each other on the frame around the center glove box. When I close it I make sure the wire goes between the two felt feet. It works ... not as good as in my other FoMoCo products ... but it works.

What's funny is, mine has a notch for this in the center console, but it only has the aux input in the glove box.. Really annoying. Can't figure out why they put it in there.

I average about 35-37 commuting back and fourth to work. On trips, 43-46 is normal. I have had it checked out - the reasoning is that it's to warm the converter up. In nearly 40K miles I have never had a tank below 30MPG.

The annoying thing is on cold mornings when I try to shift. It's -10F out, the transmission oil is like molasses, and the engine decides to race at 2500RPM whenever I push the clutch in. Makes shifting a real breeze!

I could be wrong, but I don't believe this trans has a converter...

That's a little closer to normal.
2000 to 2500 is just crazy.
