I don't believe that black piece of plastic was in the '12s.

It also works in my car! It is very intuitive and much easier to use then going into the touch screen.
I never use the touch screen for the air con, also single user mode is attained by simply moving the pass side to the driver temp and then just use the driver

As far as I remember this is not true. Once the second zone has been set to a seperate temperature the only way to return it to the same temperature as zone one is to depress the auto button. Simply setting the temperature back to the same as zone one would not return the car to single zone operation.

Quote:
Temperature Control
You can set the temperature between 60°F (15.5°C) and 85°F (29.5°C)
in 1°F (0.5°C) increments. In position LO, 59°F (15°C), the system
switches to permanent cooling. In position HI, 86°F (30°C), the system
switches to permanent heating.
Note: If you select either position LO or HI, the system does not
regulate a stable temperature.

Mono Mode

In this mode, the driver’s control sets the temperature for both sides. If
you adjust the setting using the rotary control on the driver’s side, the
system sets the passenger’s side to the same temperature.

Switching Mono Mode Off

Select a temperature for the passenger’s side using the rotary control on
the passenger’s side. Mono mode automatically switches off. The
temperature on the driver’s side remains unchanged. You can now adjust
the driver’s side and passenger’s side temperatures independently of
each another. Both temperature settings appear in the display.

Switching Mono Mode Back On
Press and hold the AUTO button. The passenger’s side temperature
changes to the driver’s side temperature setting.

I hate that I can't access Bluetooth audio/USB from a physical button and I have to tell Sync every time I want to use either feature. Luckily this morning I discovered that I only have to say it once and then you can switch back from Radio/SIRIUS to Bluetooth/USB/Line In by hitting the AUX button.

Huh. My AUX button always reverts to USB when I restart the car. But that might be because I have a thumb drive plugged into the USB jack. Now I want to test what happens if I yank the thumb drive.

It would be nice if it remembered the last source without my having to do this, though.

My car is a Job 1 2013 SE with SYNC but no MFT.

I don't use a jump drive, just plug my iPhone in for longer trips. When I do have it plugged in, the AUX button acts the same as yours and goes to USB automatically. I then use the controls on the steering wheel to switch between USB, Line In, and CD.

Focus SE SYNC, no MFT

I ended up creating my own shelf by cutting down an old license plate to keep my manual in place.

It's fitting, since that license plate was on my Mk I Focus for seven years. That car almost never let me down; here's hoping that old license plate acts like a good luck charm for the new car.

Hello, joshuafail,

The MyFord Touch system does not come equipped with an AUX port, but using an A/V adapter should work fine. Only the video functionality is limited by vehicle motion - audio should be unaffected.
