So the build is kinda at a stand still until I can locate a head. I had one lined up with a member on FJ thats local, but I havent heard from him in a week. The junkyards here dont have any. They do have older Zetecs and ZX2s. I would use a ZX2 head if I could locate a VCT delete kit. Anyone know if I can use an older head? I know they chaged the liftersmid 90s sometime.

Well I found me a 97 head. Spent the afternoon pulling it. Then after I got home I realized it only had one timing pulley. After some research, I found I needed a 98+ non-VCT head. I thought 97 was new enough, but it has the hydraulic lifters. And that was the newest non-VCT Zetec there, damn. I wonder if I can make it work.

damn, I knew there was a difference in the timing belt idlers but I thought it was on the block not the head; might be able to make it work with the proper timing belt kit still; The Crank Positions Sensor is on the right side (VCT ones are on the exhaust side)
