Got my head back from the machine shop. And they hot tanked it even though I only asked for a mill. Good thing the old seals were still in it.

Finished porting and sanded her smooth. I know it doesn't look to smooth, but it is.

And I got all the valves lapped. Now I just need to get new seals and I can start re-assembly.

Nice work. And I like the valve spring compressor. I will take function over form any day. Especially , make it yourself , parts and tools. Keep up the good job.

can you post any pics of the bowls and how you ported them? I'd like to make sure I did mine right.

And those ports do look smooth. pics do a terrible job at showing that sort of thing...

Basically I removed as much of the turns as possible into it, then made the split sharper. Also got in the curve from the port to the chamber where the valve sits with some sand paper.

I smoothed out the exhaust side a bit, but nothing like the intake because I'd end up loosing boost.

If you weld a socket 5/8 +/- to your clamp then grind away about 90% of the sides all the way around but leave the bottom about 1/4 inch you will be able to ket the keepers back in very easy

Installed lower idler to make up for the shaved head.

Didnt want to remove the water pump, but I got the new belt in.

New hole drilled and tapped for newer style timing pulley

And I got all the valves and new seal in.
