Hey, I keep a semi-small hard-case tool-kit in my organizer in the hatch with all the basics so don't feel bad for carrying around a spare tool or two haha!

Dang haha, you definitely got me beat!

Mines a decent size, probably about a 1/3 of that and I got it for free so I'm perfectly happy with it. It has all the essentials at least.

for everyone that has done this mod, is there any performance gain? Debating on getting the Fswerks intake and adding this ram air hose to it or just this mod. I read about mpg increases but no one mentions any butt dyno results other then it sounds nice.

it should offer better performance because of colder denser air

I don't think anyone has actually put it on a dyno yet to do a before/after.

But, this mod wouldn't necessarily show up on a dyno, as there is no really good way to test "Ram Air" on a stationary machine. The fans used to blow at the car really just move the hot air away faster, they don't do anything for induction air. Road tuning a Ram Air setup after rough tuning on a dyno would really wake it up. All we need is to be able to tune in the first place.

For now, it sounds better and hasn't hurt my mpg. I can tell the hose is porting non-engine compartment air into the box by the blast pattern of bugs and leaf litter on the filter after only 870ish miles. It works. How well? No idea. Would I do it again? Absolutely.
