New Falken Azenis

Just saw this in one of the SCCA Regional Forums I visit from time to time.
The new Falken Azeni due out in 2005.
Supposed to have improved dry traction and better resistance to hydroplanning and wet traction.
Impressions?
I'm not really liking those zig-zag center grooves. Weird.

EDIT:
Deleted the suspect link.
Look further down in this thread for posted pic.

Just passing on what I read on the Southwest Montana Region web site.

Pic not working, link not either. After 2,000 miles with a pair of Goodyear Eagle F1's on my front end, I've got to say that fancy tread designs aren't necessarily an indication of a well-engineered tire. I got so sick of the car wanting to pull to the right that I ended up doing my own tire rotation, moving the F1's to the back, and the stock Conti's from the rear up to the front, and guess what? Pulling to the right was immediately eliminated. The Conti's are a little more "skittish" under acceleration or over uneven surfaces but *much* quieter and also more precise. Since I don't do any racing or even any winter driving in this car I'm going to stick with what I know works, the Conti's.

From what I read, they won't cost much more than what they do now. So a 205/50-15 should be about 80 bucks.

You're not the only one (far from it) I've heard from that is rather less than impressed with the Goodyear Eagle F1.

Sorry about the link folks. I have no idea what the problem is
Anyway, here's the pic.
I just made my own copy and posted it here instead.

looks like a nice dry weather saturday track type of tire. Looks hot, might consider them when my P6's run down.
