Help! Serious 2012 Focus HB issues

I have a 2012 focus HB, bought it used, today while at a stop light, the engine started to bog down to about 500 RPM and the check engine light started flashing, the change oil light warning came on and as the light turned green, I gave the car gas and it did nothing. It continued to flash the check engine light and so was the 'D' drive light in the instrument cluster, flashing. As the engine continued to bog down, I gave it gas, and the accelerator pedal was dead. I pushed the pedal to the floor and nothing at all. I managed to pull over and it continued to bog in Drive. After about a minute or two the bogging stopped and the it started making clunking sounds, from what I remember are "normal" sounds from the transmission. Then after a min of sitting it started to rev out of no where in drive, to about 3,000 rpm, not going anywhere. It was making sounds as if it was shifting, but not moving at all. It does it almost every 15 mins I drive. I checked the oil and it was splattering on the dipstick as I pulled it out. I have an extended warranty but i'm mainly concerned about what can come of this, as in should I file I Lemon Law case, or contact Ford directly, or find out what's wrong with my car.

Thanks for taking the time to read this as well as responding.

Have you tried a shutdown & restart yet? That often solves electronic gremlins, at least temporarily.

The Oil Check you mentioned sounds as if you tried while it was running, that won't work.

Definitely should go to the Dealer to have it checked out as a first step. Warranty helps a lot, and the issue sounds like an electrical/electronic problem from the description - even though it doesn't exactly match others I've seen reported.

Did you check it while the engine was on? (Running)
If so, if you did, please pay a visit to your local Ford dealer

That sounds almost like what happened to me this last Saturday. Had to have it towed to the dealer and found out yesterday, that a bad alternator was what caused this problem!
