TSB/Service Bulletins Week of 6/24/2013

Posted on June 28th.

6282 - 2013 Escape 1.6L GTDI/2.0L GTDI / 2013 Focus 2.0L GDI / 2013 C-MAX 2.0L ATK HEV - With DTCS P025A/U0109/P0103/P1A0C - Built On Or Before 4/1/2013
See TSB: 13-06-28 for details. 13-06-28

6278 - 2013 Vehicles Built Between 9/1/2012 To 10/31/2012 Equipped With 6F35 Transmission With DTC P0867
Some 2013 vehicles built between 9/1/2012 to 10/31/2012 and equipped with a 6F35 transmission may exhibit a P0867 DTC with an intermittent harsh downshift after accelerating in 4th, 5th or 6th gears. The concern is the result of a missing hole in the separator plate between the valve body and the transmission case. Replace the separator plate (part number 9L8Z-7Z490-B) Refer to Workshop Manual, Section 307-01 and applicable service labor times. Monitor Oasis for further details.

See TSB: 13-06-27 for details. 13-06-27

This one doesn't require any proof of the IPC being inoperative. If your Focus was built before February 6, 2013, and you complain about an inoperative IPC, you can get it reprogrammed.

I wonder if this might be a good way for Job1 2013s to get the four-panel trip computer.

What is the easiest way to look up what the TSB is? Sometimes I can just put them in goggle and they show up on the Ford service site, but these are not. And the Ford service site gives you an error if you try to goto it directly.

I won't be able to provide any more insight for probably another month or so... whenever they update my system. After all, it was just posted yesterday.

Freaking Ford and their TSBs, nothing better than buying a new car and having to take time off of work to take it in on a monthly basis to correct issues.

Hey I just saw this thread for the first time... my car was built within that time period (Oct 2012) . I have the injected tune though. Is it safe to take to the dealer and ask about this tune or should I tune it back to stock first?

thanks guys

@Mishka, no, you will need to reapply the factory tune, the programmer should be able to do that

A Ford Broadcast Message list was posted on a C-Max forum for an upcoming seat back recall for certain vehicles (hopefully not mine) and there were a couple on the list for the Focus. I don't know if these have been already posted, but I thought I would share.

4781 - 2014 Focus the elimination of 12 volt battery cover
Beginning 2/18/2014 the 2014 Focus will no longer be equipped with a top cover over the rear of the 12 volt battery. Please make your new car pre-delivery departments aware of this change.

4779 - 2013-2014 Focus, Focus Electric, CMAX, CMAX Energi, Superduty, Fiesta - My Ford Touch - Frozen Or Delayed Update Of Radio Station Display
Some customers with 2013-2014 Focus, Focus Electric, CMAX, CMAX Energi, F-Super Duty, and Fiesta vehicles equipped with My Ford Touch may exhibit an intermittent concern while changing radio stations where the screen display appears to freeze and does not display the updated frequency or channel, but the audio output does change. The screen may display the correct frequency or channel after a few minute delay. This may occur on FM, AM bands and/or Sirius channels. Do not attempt to resolve this condition. Engineering is working on a resolution which should be available 2nd Quarter 2014. Monitor OASIS for updates and continue to submit Global Concern Reports.
