2012 RPM stall out at highway speed

I bought my Focus S 5spd new 14k miles ago and it has been great other than this issue. When you are going highway speed, it will stall out the RPMs above 3k and become doggish until you turn the ignition off and on again. Has anyone else experienced this?

It has only happened twice and my stealership wouldn't look much into it since it is a freak incident type thing.

Hi MrIsosceles,

I want to look into this for you and see how I can help. Send me your information in a PM and I'll get started. I'll need your VIN, dealer, mileage, daytime phone number, and full name.

Crystal

Hey guys. I havent posted on the site in a long time. But now I am glad that I am a member. My car did the same thing that you are describing. I bought it brand new and it happened to me at about 5,000 miles (the dealership told me they did not find anything wrong too) Then this weekend it happened again on the highway. 49,000 miles on it now, loving it other than that
2012 - Titanium Hatch - 5 speed

Wanting to take it in tomorrow. Any idea what is going on with it? Thanks in advance guys.

Welcome back!

If you send me a PM with your VIN, best daytime phone number, full name, and dealer name/location, I can look into this further. Let me know how your appointment goes!
