Sure, on the base model, keep it stock, but on the higher spec models they could have added something better. If walmart in the States can offer that exhaust tip for $10, how much would it have cost Ford to add a mass produced factory one on the SE and higher model Focus?
Exactly!

Those $10 tips will rust over 1 winter. I do think it's sad when i see other sub $20k cars with a proper exhaust tip like on the Honda Fit for example and Ford can't offer one for a $25k version of the Focus.

That's why I went with something cheap for now, to see if it cleans up the rear. We'll see how winter goes.
But that bothers me as well, they went all out on the Ti but couldn't add a nice tip. Wtf ford?

Did you buy your exhaust tip from the PartSource on King George Road across from Walmart? Thanks, I'll have to go pick one up when I make a trip to the dealer next weekend.

My new exhaust tip arrived just before Christmas and I fitted it today.
Here are before and after images.

Thanks MJB.
I looked in Walmart but they dont have exhaust tips here in Markham, Canada. I also went to PartSource as others recomended but I really wanted an angle tip and the ones in Partsource were straight thats why I opted for ebay.
Ultimately I think anything is better than the look of the stock exhaust.
