Got Mine

Got mine today - what a great, cheap upgrade. If you get one from Wal-Mart make sure you get:

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Pilot-Auto...t-Tip/20551458

I bought another 2 1/4 inch tip from Wal-Mart and it just followed the angle of the stock tail pipe, looked stupid, so I took it back.

Went back and got the above Pilot one today. Because it has a flare you can push it partially around the bend. It installs at a slight angle, but looks very natural.

I just got that tip, and I mounted it flipped over, so that the end of the pipe is perpendicular to the ground. Is that unhip? Seemed to look pretty good that way. I decided to grind down the brackets a little bit so that the screws could be turned in a bit more. I ground down the brackets and kept the curve, but took about 3/16 inch off. I still slid the pipe all the way on, cuz I did not it hanging down so much as to hit curbs when backing up.

After a day I just flipped it back over to the normal way. I liked it upside down, but it shows the puddle of dirt water, or actually drops of dirty water. You can see that when it's right side up.

looks great.. I ran right out to Walmart when I read this thread.. I can't believe ford could have not come up with anything better.. However, thanks to walmart my tail pipe looks 30 timed better then it did... I also like the pep boys one as well, however can't find it on their website... I would like to take a look at it...

Just ordered
http://www.amazon.com/Pilot-Motorspo...ds=exhaust+tip

Haven't decided how I'm going to put it on yet, whether as is or if I will cut off some pipe first. I just hate the factory look... it's not "clean". Went for the black look because imo Stainless Steel looks tacky unless done right.
