Trade Focus for a Mustang 2005?

Would you trade your Focus for a 2005 Mustang GT?
My dad made me a deal if everything goes as plan or better, he will fix his current 2003 Mustang GT to be a show car, and buy a new Mustang GT 2005 for a daily driven car. He said that if I wanted a 2005 Mustang GT I would need to trade my 2003 Focus and he will put money down for the car. All I have to do is pay the payments after, and he might pay for my insurence. Should I do it? What is everyone's opinion about this?

i may be old school but here ya go....

learn the value of your money and what you work for. don't let mommy and daddy pay for what you can't, buy what u can afford!i am 18 and paying for everything except room and food. i live with my dad and i do work around the house to help out. so i say do what you want but i would keep the foci.

I can afford it. I make an average of $1600 take home pay every month.

then tell your dad thanks for the offer and say i can pay for it myself. Do what you want, if you want the mustang then buy it. If you want to keep the focus then keep it. Eather way tell your dad thanks but no thanks. Esp if you make that much money. Tell him that you think it is time to grow up and pay for your own shit.

1600 a month is enough to cover payemnts and insurance and gas and all for an EVO with no down payment so it should be plenty for a mustang. If I had was in your shoes I would go for it in a second!

Hmmm, if that's what you want to do, go for it.

I make about the same amount a month as you and I am happy with my Focus cause I have lots of money left over for other things. How much is the 05 Mustang GT's gonna sell for?

Go for it if you want but with only 1,600.00 a mouth your just going to have a new mustang in the driveway and and if you live on your own thats most likely will be were it sits most of the time

To be honest, like said before I'd wait for a bit since its the first year of the new design... I know its on an LS chassis and all, but you still never know!! Ive heard a rumour that they experience some problems with the new gt engine already. But ya never know, it could be a good deal!!

But why not look for an 03-04 Cobra!! That would be sweet!!

On the news the baseline GT would be under 25K.
