Installing Rally Armor universal mud flaps
In this thread I will explain how I installed my rally armor flaps, but these instructions apply to any flat universal flaps as well.
These flaps are rally armor basic flaps that I cut down to 9.75" width. The fronts are self explanatory, just purchase 6x 1/4" body pins in the same style as the factory ones but longer to accommodate the flaps. ![]() I suggest drilling and attaching the center hole first, so you can rotate and adjust for fit prior to drilling the other holes. Once the flaps on one side are drilled, if you put the opposing side face to face with it and drill through the same holes, you'll have a perfect mirror image for symetry. To avoid drilling the wheel well, I used 3m mounting tape (the gray kind) on the flat area medial to the pins. If you look at the rear fender liner mounts, you'll see that they are recessed so you'll need 2.5" or so screws to reach the original holes. In order to get a firm mounting point for the flap, you'll need to make some sort of spacer to take up the dead space between the bumper and flap. I used vinyl tubing. ![]() I used 3" because I wasn't sure how long I'd need them to be, but I'm certain 2.5" is more appropriate. ![]() ![]() There are two screws that you'll mount in this fashion on each side. For the inner most mounting point, you'll find that the fender liner is too flimsy to mount the flap to--so I recommend heading to the hardware store and picking up some 1/2" 90* bent PVC conduit, a small length of 1/2" straight conduit (4 pcs of 2" length), a small bag of steel single hole conduit straps (3/4") and a small bag of couplers. ![]() You'll also need to hog out the hole of the steel conduit strap to (I think I did 5/16") because the exhaust hanger bolt is bigger than the hole of the straps I bought. Glue the flared end of the elbow to a short piece of conduit and a coupler like so: ![]() Undo your front exhaust hanger bolt and strap your newly made flap hanger to the exhaust bracket. If you look closely at your fender liner, you'll see that there is a hole predrilled for factory splash guards. I used this hole to run a zip tie around the flap to mount to the bracket. I could've used something sturdier, but if something snags the flap, I want it to break free rather than tear up my bumper! ![]() So lastly, drill a 1/4" hole in the flap where it aligns with the factory drilled hole and zip tie it to the bracket. The bracket can be adjusted to aid in positioning of the flap. ![]() ![]() Done! EDIT: Those elbows are 90*, not 45* as I originally stated!

1. can it be done without jacking/lifting the car? 2. if yes, then should I try to get this done before saturday's lowering? 3. if yes to #2, then I will have to find the time before saturday morning, which is doubtful :( especially since I don't know what I'm doing - aside from your instructions.

If you can't get it done, just shoot me a PM. My work schedule is crazy since I am trying to study for a my license registry exam (radiology), but I can try to get it done for you after June 18 (the big day).
