More Fog lamp stuff

Hello again, sorry for all of the questions.

I have the SE model, no fog lights, I want fog lights. Found the part numbers for my 2014 Focus, 11654 (factory fog light switch) and 15200 (factory fog light assembly)

My question (and hopefully the part numbers help anyone that is looking for them) is that if Ford can change what ever programming on the car (service manager believes they can but not 100%) and these are factory parts installed at the dealer, will it void warranty? One of the service advisers at their sister dealership says it will despite the fact that they are dealer installed factory parts, the service manager at the other dealership states that it is ok.

I am just trying to clear up the confusion as they both are saying different things on pretty much every aspect of my car.

Todd? Do you have any information?

The OEM parts I got from my local Ford dealer, I didn't plug the fog lights 'cause I was told by my local FD that if I do my warranty would be voided
:(
So it's just cosmetic view for now

Keep in mind According to all dealers, every thing and any thing you do to your car voids the warranty lol I bed they would say even driving voids your warranty if they could lol

Your dealer is full of $hit! Adding an OEM part aftermarket can not and will not void your warranty. But they will use they fact you did the install yourself to void any part that could become damaged or malfunction due to the install since it wasn't professionally done. They want their pound of flesh by installing the lights and charging way too much for the privilege of it being "professionally" installed. Now if you had a licensed shop do the install, it is still considered a professional install and you are equally covered. So don't let them pull the wool over your eyes.

What counts as a "licensed shop?" Can I go to a Firestone or something similar to do it? What about a mom and pop auto garage?

Any shop that is a qualified installer of electronics should suffice. If in doubt, call Ford customer service, tell them you don't have a dealer conveniently close and you want to have your parts installed. Ask them who Ford would consider a qualified substitute. Be sure to get their name, better yet have them email you their answer so you have proof if something should go wrong.
