I took tons of pictures last time I was here & plan on doing more of the same this time. They are all on my Facebook though but once my Fiesta is here I'll be posting up pictures in the Showroom.

Aaron is going to smack Himself once He finds out firsthand what kind of fun He has been missing out on, lol. It's in My old neighborhood, more or less(Punchbowl, Pacific Heights, Papakolea, Pauoa Valley) on the South side of the island, so it'll be a little bit of a drive to find it, but well worth the trip, IMO. Just don't stop in Papakolea, You'll find out why when You pass through.

Hell, I just googled it and it says the same thing.

But man, you haven't lived till you tried this stuff in fried rice. It's game changing.

Do they sell Flying Saucers on Oahu at festivals and fairs?
Goteborg is only found at one or two places on O'ahu(maybe more now, been almost 20yrs since I looked), Portuguese Sausage is the big one on O'ahu. Shame though, Goteborg is fantastic stuff, but it's hard to find outside of Kaua'i and Germany/Switzerland. Never had a Flying Saucer on O'ahu, hell I never even heard of one until after I moved away, lol. Sad, huh?

I love Portuguese sausage. I can't get scrapple *sad face* so this artery-clogging meat will have to do. LOL.

What's scrapple?? Sounds like some kind of fight. Scrap + Grapple = Scrapple.

It's a Mid-Atlantic thing:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrapple

Random pig parts, fried, oh so bad for you but oh so good.

I love Portuguese sausage. I've had Chorizo before on the mainland & it's one of my favorite greasy meats. And I grew up eating Vienna sausages.

I'm not a fan of Spam so you won't catch me eating it.

I've had scrapple. It's just like it sounds, basically ground up meat scraps(gristle, fat, brains, feet etc.) cut into rather large squares and fried. Sounds terrible but if You don't think about what's in it it's really good, lol.

Oh and since we're talking cured meats of dubious origin, Longaniza is a wonderful breakfast sausage from the Philippines made from mostly pork, but chicken, goat, etc., is also used.

^That sounds good. Looks nice & greasy too. Hehe.

I feel in love with Kalua pork when I first came here too. When we arrived at the airport in Maui 2 weeks ago I got a Kalua pork BBQ sandwich & it was soooo good. But I still like Carolina BBQ sauce over what I've had anywhere else.

Kalua BBQ sandwiches are the greatest.

There this bar in Waimea on the Big Island I went to with some friends and they had this really good mango bbq sauce on the kalua.
