Boosted tune
I'm finally getting my build together. And I've narrowed it down to 2 choices.
Tom? Or McNews? Please help me decide. |

You could always go with Tom and then go to McNews for some dyno time to do some fine tuning. I know Ray and Tom have worked together before.

I would say that Tom may save you money but you have to go through the data-logging process and remote tune which can be a little tricky to get the hang of. You need to be comfortable and familiar with the software which at times can be temperamental. Tom will go online and will work with you and help you through the process but you still need to bring some knowledge to the table. I would say it can be done in a weekend but it could take longer depending on how smoothly everything goes and how much time you have to devote to remote tuning.
Since you're in PA, McNews is a good choice. Tom himself said they are one of the best. While you might pay a little more they can put your car on a dyno, tune it, and have it back to you the same day. In my opinion being able to take in to the shop and have them take care of it is worth the trip and money. With both tuners make sure you contact them in advance, my experience has been that they can be backed up anywhere from a week to three weeks before they might be able to schedule your car in. If you have any more questions just ask. I have used both of these tuners. I have had positive and negative experiences with both. |

I just talked to Ray today. He said a tune w/ an svt your looking @ 4 hours if everything goes smooth. And i have to drop my car off during the week for them to do it, which means i can't be there while its being done. I.E. WORK! which sucks, cuz i wanted to be there while its being done.
