The material of the Ford mat is pretty tacky (in a good way - sticky, not tasteless) and I really tested it as we headed out Thanksgiving day. Had a lot stuff in the trunk during our travels and it stayed put, didn't fly all around during cornering, etc. The material, however, is not as rigid as the Husky floor mats and in my opinion seems like it would tear easier (just feels that way, obviously I didn't try it with a brand new liner). That being said, I am a little more careful when loading anything with sharp edges, corners than I think I would be if it was the same material as my floor mats. It's been a while but I believed I paid about $80 from partscheap.

Okay, here are the photos of the Husky trunk liner installed in my trunk. The wrinkles at the seat back will settle out after a while, there was a ton of crap sittting on that edge when I had the seats down and we were coming back from several days at my wife's folks place.

The pleasure was mine. Sorry for not cleaning them up before I shot the pix, but it took an hour to empty the beast in the first place.

That's completely fine! My only concern is folding down the back seats and the edge is sticking up. I would hate to put stuff in it and having it temporary wrinkle/deform

I'm not sure how one would address that issue, short of making two liners, one when the seats were up, and one to be used when they were down. The lip around is for wonderfully collecting huge amounts of debris so I wouldn't do away with it, unless I didn't mind cleaning carpets, and then I'd just leave it without a liner at all.

Thanks for the input. Will definitely still get it. It's better having that there then nothing at all.

Installed my front and rear Husky liners and I am glad I got them. Thanks again!
Added benefit is that they reflect the ambient lighting back up... looks pretty cool. |
