You'll want to be careful with that, I have Nokya H11's in my fogs right now and they get obscenely hot. They extra 10W of power will probably produce even more heat. I'd check your fog housings from time to time to make sure they aren't melting.

I was also very interested in what Daniel said about the H9's. My Hella bulbs came in today and of course they were broken (thanks USPS!) so I've returned them in exchange for some H11 Phillips CrystalVision Ultra's. I'm all about upgrading my lighting but I don't want to make it unsafe for other drivers in the process.

Seems to me that the best bet for better headlights is to just user proper HIDs...put too much power in the stock housing and it blinds people, plus you have to swap bulbs too often.

Hopefully there's a reasonably priced HID assembly out within the year.

Just keep searching eBay for a set of lights to come up for a decent price and then you can make your own kit with retrofit parts. That's what I'm thinking about doing.

I have to imagine the OEM kit will be well over $1,000 if the Focus does end up getting HID as an option.

Although I think there is still the issue with HID blubs throwing a "bulb out" code.

That's just it - I have no desire to use a 'kit' that kinda sorta works, and requires a lot of work and still may not work right. I'll wait for an OEM option, and I'd like to believe such a thing will be available since I remember hearing the Euro version has HIDs. If I have to import them...then I will.

The Euro version of the Focus does indeed have HID's with LED DRL's.

I keep checking ebay.co.uk and ebay.de for something to show up, but no parts just yet.

There is also www.fordpartsuk.com but it doesn't have anything listed yet.

This was discussed a while ago.

I contacted Fordparts.co.uk and the Xenon/LED headlamps are $285 GBP each.

Wow, that's about $460 per light, plus shipping costs. A little to rich for my blood right now. Thanks for letting me know about it though .

Hello folks, just resurrecting an old thread. I just purchased a new 2012 Ford Focus SEL HB and I want to upgrade the headlights and fogs. As I understand it, the high beam and fogs take an H11 bulb and the low beams are H1? Please confirm. Many thanks.
