Not to bump my old thread, but has anyone had their squeaks, creaks, and/or rattles looked at?

- My headliner "adhesive" issue has spread to the dome light
- The occasional rattle from my driver side speaker (normally happens on a cold start when the engine is rougher)
- Plastic "clunk" sound from the middle console, above where climate control is

I only have one unidentified sound that annoys me. It sounds like it is coming from the glovebox or driver side door area. I can't really pinpoint it like I have the rest. I really want to have all the sounds identified before I head to the dealer. My Cobalt was silent. I don't want to drive a rattle box :).

How has your experiences been in getting these types of issues resolved?

Thanks for listening to my rant...

I had a rattle above my head somewhere, but I couldn't isolate it. When I had my car in (for the third time) to get MFT updated, the techs investigated the headliner rattle/adhesive no longer stuck to anything issue and informed me that they'd have to replace the entire headliner to fix the problem. The parts are ordered and they're going to call me to set up an appointment when they come in. Will report back on how well it works. I also have some sort of rattle in front of me while driving. It sounds like it's coming from somewhere in or under the gauge cluster. I think I'll go take a drive to see if the pushing the gauge cluster plastic and trim in harder fixes it. :)

I also have a slight buzz occasionally from headliner area just in front of moonroof, but goes away for a long time after just a slight push on the headliner.. somewhat annoying but not enough to complain about. For all of you having issues around doors for rattling and buzzing.. check your door panels.. 2 of mine were not clipped in all the way. Solved that problem right away.

Ive noticed that the painted plastic on the SEL handbrake rattles now and when I place bottles in the passenger door bin they rattle as well. Nothing too serious

The dealer replacing the entire headliner did indeed fix the little rattle that I had just in front of the sunroof.

Mine was in the shop for the headliner replace, for the failed adheasive around the moonroof, causing a rattle. Took them 2 days to get it done, then one day in detail to get all of the stains from installation out of the headliner and trim.

Just a word of caution, I about died to see they had to take the seats, passenger front door, console, rear decklid trim, A pillar trim, B pillar trim off to get the headliner replaced. I will probably will have more squeaks and rattles than I started with. When they reinstalled the seats, they scratched the paint on the door sills and both the driver and passenger lower B piller trim. The new headliner has a crease at the top of both B pillars, even after they took out the interior so they wouldn't have to crease the new one going in.

So proceeed with caution, unless you know your dealer is going to be very careful during the install.

My 2012 focus has what looks like an improperly aligned passenger door panel that rattles a lot during bassier songs, at first I thought it might be the speaker but on a closer listen the rattling is coming from an area other than the speaker on the door panel.

Keep us posted on this. I have a rattle on the passenger side somewhere (door, A pillar, not sure) and my car is going in for this when my new mirror arrives to replace my whistling one.
