Either one will work just as well and as far as the difference very little if any at all. Go with the Ford Racing and save the $20 for another mod. The 8mm and 9mm refer to the diameter of the wires. What year how many miles on your car/plugs? You may not NEED to get new plugs but if you want most would recommend Autolite Double Platinum....usually work the best with the Focus. No performance gains to speak of, mainly just a smoother idle is what you will notice.

technically, the focus sport have a lower ohm rating, which means they have a smoother idle and quicker throttle response, but for the price you will probably not notice the difference in the two

Also, I believe the Focussport uses the OEM spark plug boots for better fitment while the FR do not.

IMO, don't look for low resistance, look for the shielding against EM emissions!

yeah there is no fitment issues with the fr boot. they are a little long because they are made for the escape also. but just get the fr wires since they are cheaper. no use in paying more for the same thing ya know.

33k on a 00? how did u manage that? i have 44k on my 01 and i thought i was doin ok.

I bought the FocusSport wires and noticed a definite smoothing of the idle and increased response. The FS wires a just a touch longer than stock, but not enough to make the install any less neat. I would definitely endorse them.
