No buckets of water like you describe.
You are a single data point. You do not represent the whole population. i have a U.S. built car and do not have this issue, I can't claim none of the U.S. cars have this issue just because i don't have it.

Ahhh maybe you don't live in the "RUST BELT" of America. but in the North, when it snows they pour mountains of salt on the streets, and that stuff gets sprayed up into everything.
Eventually, if an area is wet, and salty, it IS gonna rust. paint or not, whatever. If the crud collects, and can sit working away, it is gonna chew right through whatever.
So

If the areas in the car are a water collecting area, and they can get salted up (they are low and vunerable) and stay wet. it IS going to be a problem for some folks.

NOT ME because i have DRY indoor heated underground sheltered parking above 50F (usually over 60F temps) all winter.

The rear speakers in my 2012 already stopped working because the speaker wire contacts corroded with all the moisture. I fixed it myself since I had free time and like doing hands on work, but this is NOT something I expected on a brand new car.

I was cleaning my car today and checked the doors.
Each front and rear door has 2 drainage holes about +-10 mm long by +- 6mm wide.(aprox)
It is possible that the holes are blocked or missing altogether on the cars having this problem.

I also have water coming out of my rear doors after a good rain storm / car wash.

These Holes if working properly should drain the door and stop water accumulating inside that could destroy wiring, etc etc

Hi, your door welds look good, as they should be and like mine, some have a problems where the skin isn't properly folded, welded and sealed...

Hi Chris,
Our Cars are built in the EU, I'm happy with the build quality, no Rattles or gaps anywhere.
Cheers
Joe

Hi, then only thing that's slipped through on mine is that the front passenger door will not lock or unlock and the front tyre pressures were set to 38psi.
