Other then the trans this had been a great car for me.but the way the dealer treats you like an idiot....like how can they tell hundreds if not thousands of people jerking, slipping ,stalling is normal.gives the service department a black eye.

Dealer"Hey so we re-flashed your transmission, reprogrammed it we test it out and it's all good to go come pick it up!"

Leave work early to go pick-up, everything seems fine, about 10 minutes from home.

Um........ I love this car but I can't take this anymore does anyone know what I should do? Trade-in? Try to fight for a lemon? Private sell? I just want to get rid of it now.....

I got that too after a month of ownership. Ever since it's been a shell of itself, not the car I bought. Unless you put a lot down on the vehicle or bought it used then you're probably like me and upside down on the loan. Lemon is probably your best bet but that takes time and money.

I only owe $5,000 or so on the car so it's basically paid off already.... just not sure what direction I want to go with it.

Tough call. Being that close, I'd just pay it off and hope they come out with a fix

transmission problems

I, too, had many problems with my 2012 Focus transmission. I had an update done twice but still didn't shift right and it had a bad "shudder". Well, it is finally fixed!!!!! There was something leaking that when the leaked fluid got on something (I'm a girl, I don't know all these parts) it caused the shudder. They fixed that and now the transmission is about 99% better, too.

Also, all 4 of my windows are one touch up&down to the surprise of everyone at my dealership. Does anyone else have these?

Glad you car is fixed. As far as the auto up-down is concerned, both my wife's 12 Ti and my 13 ST have this feature.

It's funny because we all know exactly what you're talking about.

If your windows don't have their usual "one-touch" up/down functionality do the following:

-Hold button down until the window is all the way down and keep holding it down for an additional 3 seconds then let go and immediately continue with next step:

-Hold button up until the window is closed all the way and then continue holding the button up for an additional 3 seconds then when you let go it should operate as it's supposed to
